Digital Product Refund Policy

Last updated October 17, 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to digital software products, installers, licenses, updates, manuals, and other downloadable materials sold directly by TopMap Solutions, including Parcel Buddy and future TopMap software products.

Consulting, data preparation, mapping, customization, training, and other professional services are governed by the applicable quotation, statement of work, or service agreement.

2. General No-Refund Rule

Because digital products and license credentials can be accessed, copied, or activated immediately after delivery, purchases are generally final and non-refundable once the installer, download, or license has been supplied or activated.

We do not normally provide refunds for a change of mind, accidental purchase, failure to review published system requirements, use with an unsupported host application or device, or a decision not to use the product.

3. Verified Product Failure

We will review a remedy request when a purchased product repeatedly crashes or materially fails to perform a documented core function under its published system requirements and supported environment. A crash or error does not automatically qualify when the issue can be corrected through installation guidance, configuration, an available update, or another reasonable support step.

A refund may be considered only after TopMap Solutions has had a reasonable opportunity to reproduce the problem and repair, replace, update, or otherwise restore the product's documented core functionality, and those attempts have not resolved the verified product failure.

4. Issues That Do Not Normally Qualify

A refund will not normally be provided when the problem results from:

  • an unsupported operating system, host application, version, device, or hardware configuration;
  • third-party software, security settings, network services, plugins, files, or data outside TopMap's control;
  • failure to install a required update or follow the published installation and troubleshooting steps;
  • modification, misuse, unauthorized sharing, reverse engineering, or use outside the license terms;
  • temporary interruption that does not prevent the product's documented core use; or
  • features, integrations, or results that were not included in the product description or written agreement.

5. Requesting Review

Contact TopMap Solutions through the project inquiry page or joshdels@topmapsolutions.com as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the problem. Include the product and version, purchase reference, supported host and operating-system versions, steps to reproduce the issue, the exact error message, and relevant screenshots or logs that do not contain license keys or activation tokens.

We may ask you to complete reasonable diagnostic or remediation steps. Do not send passwords, activation tokens, confidential client data, or an unredacted license key through ordinary email.

6. Available Remedies

Depending on the verified issue, applicable law, and the product terms, TopMap Solutions may provide troubleshooting, a corrected installer, an update, replacement access, or a refund. An approved refund may require license deactivation and deletion of downloaded installers and copies.

7. Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or replaces a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable law. Where mandatory law provides greater protection, that law applies.
